Downloading YouTube Videos

YouTube is blocked by our webfiltering software. However, you can still utilize videos from YouTube in your classroom - you will just have to do some preplanning at home. Here are the steps to download YouTube videos and bring them your classroom.....

1. Every Youtube video has a URL/Internet address assigned to that video. When you locate the video that you want to download, simply COPY the url address (highlight, right click, copy)
2. Go to http://www.zamzar.com
3. There are 3 tabs at the bottom - click on the DOWNLOAD VIDEOS tab.
4. Step 1 - paste the url address in the available box
5. Step 2 - Click on the drop down menu - change to WMV
6. Step 3 - Type in your email address.
7. Step 4 - Convert
8. ZAMZAR will now start converting your video and will email you when it is completed.
9. In your email, ZAMZAR will provide a link that you click on so that you can download the video.
10. Once downloaded - save it to a flash drive and bring it to school.
